STRANGER AT HOME + Q&A
1985 | Rudolf Van Der Berg | 93’

Sunday 17th November | 5:30pm
Barbican, BEECH STREET, EC2Y 8DS

In 1985, Dutch filmmaker Rudolf van den Berg documented his friend, the Palestinian artist and historian Kamal Boullata on his journey to Jerusalem. Stranger at Home takes its audience on this journey with Boullata, who had not seen his home country for a very long time. However, the friends, making the trip together, find themselves more and more involved in a painful confrontation as a Jew versus a Palestinian. This film, rarely screened, will be projected in its original 16mm, director's cut format. This is a special event, hosted by the LPFF in honour of the revered luminary, Kamal Boullata, who sadly passed away this year.

This screening will be followed by a Q&A with the Amsterdam-based director, Rudolf van der Berg.
